A leap of faith
A few weeks ago I took a leap and scaled back at my part time job and here I sit nearly a month in at my new job. It’s a solid net but there are a few loops that need to be restrung. I have a lot to learn and I always struggle to ask for help. However, I know this a good thing, a good step. I hope that it continues to be challenges because without challenges, we will never be strong enough to overcome things.
Wednesday Wisdom: Virtues
Well patience is a virtue, a virtue is a grace, put them both together and make a pretty face.
Thank you my friend CF for reminding me of this. It is a great quote.
In other news…
I accepted a job as a preschool teacher last Friday! It’s full time and I couldn’t be more thrilled or nervous!
I was supposed to teach 13 year olds not 3 years olds but life has a way of changing the plan.
Happy Wednesday Loves!
Wednesday Wisdom: What life plan?!
We must be willing to get rid of the life we’ve planned, so as to have the life that is waiting for us. ~Joseph Campbell
Hello friends! This statement really rings true for me. So much of my plan hasn’t happened and more and more I am trying to be okay with that. With my 30th birthday on the horizon, (September 3rd for those of you keeping track) I am working everyday to see the gift in things. I have so many people that love and champion for me everyday. For that I am grateful.
What keeps you going when life throws you a curve ball?
Don’t rain on my parade

Don’t tell me not to live, just sit and putter
Life’s candy and the sun’s a ball of butter
Don’t bring around a cloud to rain on my parade
Don’t tell me not to fly, I simply got to
If someone takes a spill, it’s me and not you
Who told you you’re allowed to rain on my parade
I’ll march my band out, I’ll beat my drum
And if I’m fanned out, your turn at bat, sir
At least I didn’t fake it, hat, sir
I guess I didn’t make it
But whether I’m the rose of sheer perfection
A freckle on the nose of life’s complexion
The Cinderella or the shine apple of its eye
I gotta fly once, I gotta try once,
Only can die once, right, sir?
Ooh, life is juicy, juicy and you see,
I gotta have my bite, sir.
Get ready for me love, ’cause I’m a “comer”
I simply gotta march, my heart’s a drummer
Don’t bring around the cloud to rain on my parade,
I’m gonna live and live NOW!
Get what I want, I know how!
One roll for the whole shebang!
One throw that bell will go clang,
Eye on the target and wham,
One shot, one gun shot and bam!
Hey, Mr. Arnstein, here I am …
I’ll march my band out, I will beat my drum,
And if I’m fanned out, your turn at bat, sir,
At least I didn’t fake it, hat, sir,
I guess I didn’t make it
Get ready for me love, ’cause I’m a “comer”
I simply gotta march, my heart’s a drummer
Nobody, no, nobody, is gonna rain on my parade!
Wednesday Wisdom: The greater things
We all work hard to get what we want. We have degrees hanging on our walls or other signs of achievement. A symbol of our greatest accomplishments. However, these objects don’t shape us completely. We could all run around bragging about are various types of education but what have we done with it? That looks differently for all of us and during this rough time in our world, we need to remember that we were created to achieve great work!
What has your life experience taught you about doing great work?
Have a beautiful Wednesday!
Wednesday Wisdom: Trusting the process
My stress level is way high and I’ve spent many late night’s trying to calm my racing mind. I found this quote this morning and probably need to make a frame poster of it.
Here’s to letting go and trusting the process!
Does anyone else find this as difficult as me?
Have a beautiful day readers!
Wednesday Wisdom: Dating Advice from the Opposite Sex
So I’m single and I’ve gotten lots of great advice but still lacking in the dating department.
I love my girl friends, I really do but I decided on Monday to ask some of my male coworkers about dating. This won’t be anything new to most of you but it sounded different coming from a male perspective.
1: Even if you are a strong independent woman, it’s okay to let the guy play the role of being the gentleman etc etc. Most of them are ok with independent personalities but love the idea of opening up the door, picking up the bill, sending over a drink.
2: Honesty is always the best policy, don’t try to be something you are not in the beginning because it will just catch up with you in the end and probably damper or end the relationship. For instance, if you are not a big outdoorsy person, don’t sign up for a 20 mile hiking date, you’ll be miserable.
3: Games really don’t work, people say you have to play them but you don’t.
4: Be yourself:)
Have a beautiful day!
