Most of you know I work in a restaurant, a very busy one at that. We were having a usual busy Monday and were watching the skies. At around 1:45, I had sat a table outside on our patio. It then started pouring and gusting wind! All of the sudden, lightening struck and the lights went out. We moved all the tables upstairs; however our small kitchen could only do so much in the dark. When it was apparent that the lights weren’t coming back on anytime soon, we continued on as best we could. We couldn’t sell any food but managed to sell a few drinks to porch dwellers. It was hard for us to stop and realize we had to change our game plan. Sometimes in life, we have to change our game plan and most of the time, it works out for the better.
I haven’t had the best few weeks on a personal note but I get inklings everyday that these “lightning strikes” I have been experiencing are part of the path to something better.
Life is beautiful, even with a few storms:)

Love this post and you have a great blog! I worked in a restaurant for years so I know how tough it can be to see the sunlight through the clouds sometimes.
Stop by my blog if you get a chance.

Thank you so much Michelle! I will stop by today!
Wowzer! The weather can be so crazy. Chicago’s weather can change in a matter of minutes, it’s odd and scary. Change is a great thing if one knows how to handle it, and it sounds like you’re doing an excellent job! Have you heard from you-know-where yet??? Hope you’re having a great week!
